How does the SquareTrade extended warranty work?
If you buy a SquareTrade Care Plan, you will receive extended warranty coverage for the item you purchased. If your item breaks, you can file a claim on SquareTrade's website or simply call SquareTrade Customer Service at 1-877-WARRANTY.
SquareTrade will quickly determine if they can fix your item or not. If they can, you will receive a free, prepaid shipping label to send the item to a service depot for small items. They will return the fixed item to you within 5 days.
For large items (including TVs larger than 32"), SquareTrade will arrange for a reputable local repair technician to examine and repair your device at the shop or in your home after you file a claim
Do I have to buy the item I want to cover with my Discover Card?
No, you can purchase a SquareTrade Care Plan on items you have bought by cash, check, or other credit card. However, you will need a receipt or other proof of purchase in order to file a claim with your SquareTrade Care Plan.
What is SquareTrade's Low Price Guarantee?
If you find a comparable 3-year warranty for a new item that is cheaper than SquareTrade, they will refund you 110% of the difference.
Comparable warranties must meet the following criteria:
- Have no deductible for service
- Valid for 3 years from date of purchase or equivalent time period
- Underwritten by an insurance carrier rated A- or better by AM Best
- Found within 30 days of your SquareTrade purchase
- Warranty applies to and can be purchased on the item to be warrantied
- * SquareTrade Care Plans are not available to residents in Maine and Wisconsin due to regulatory requirements.
